Manager Darren Woods is looking forward to facing his former club this Tuesday evening

On Tuesday night we host high flying Banstead Athletic at Chalky Lane.

I have some fond memories of playing at Merland Rise, but I also had a few lows as a player (but we won't go into that)

I joined Banstead as a youth player and progressed into the senior side where I played under Graeme Banyard & Dave Tidy, whilst playing we recorded the clubs highest league finish in the CCL Prem finishing 6th in a very competitive league. I spent the majority of my playing career moving between Banstead and Chessy for many years.

I live a stones throw away from the Merland Rise and I've always followed how the club are doing.

Good friend of mine Jack Johnson was the manager last time we played each other, a 2-2 draw at Chalky Lane and a 1-0 win away was one of my highlights as a manager.

I have a good relationship with current boss James Cameron, we keep in contact on a regular basis. We know each others teams pretty well so I'm expecting a tight game when we play on Tuesday night.

Banstead have started very well this year and definitely turned a few heads with their 7-1 demolition of Ash United at the weekend.

Both sides go into this one unbeaten in the league and both with decent defensive records to date.

We welcome back quite a few players for this one, skipper Dan Green, Kyle Green, Christian Money, Aaron Agyeman and Matryn Gange are all fit and available for selection after missing the last couple of games.

Early days in a long season but it's being labelled as a must not lose game at Chalky Lane, a win would see move above Banstead into pole position.
