Bas will be able to express himself a lot more playing higher up the pitch than he has been used to recently. He will also be pleased that we won't be asking him every couple of minutes to launch one of his "useful long throws" into the box.

Bas made his debut this season for us in Monday nights 4-1 thumping of Carshalton Athletic U21s in the Surrey cup.

It's a pleasure to be able to work with Bas again and I hope we can achieve what we've set out to do this season.

Also joining the club today is Liam Traynor from tenants Epsom Athletic.

Liam has been watched and wanted by various CCL sides this season after word quickly spread of his impressive displays in goal for Epsom.

I've watched him a number of times this year and I've also been rather impressed, keeping the oppositions score down each time.

He was tremendous when we played Epsom earlier on in the season, keeping us out until the 83rd minute.

Liam goes straight into the 1st team squad tomorrow as we make the short trip to Cobham.
