With the new management and coaching staff in place the players prove the can beat the best.

The players responded well to the new management team, and proved they could mix it with the best teams in the league as this was the first time Windsor had been beat in 14 games,it just goes to show you what can be done when players beleave in themselves and are willing to put in a full shift for the Manager.

Three players made there debuts,Tom Dilloway(signed from Molesey)and Micky Hughes(signed from Epsom & Ewell)as well as man of the match Robbie Sheriden all three players fitting in well with Dilloway having a great game after a 10 min. settling down period and Huges slotting into a new centre midfield partnership with the outstanding Sheriden.
The game itself was a great team effort and apart from a 20min spell in the second half Chess. always seemed to be in control.

Straight from the kick off there seemed to be a buzz about the home side and on a soft pitch tackles were there to be won and it was no surprise that the ref started booking players with Hughes being the first in the book after a missed time tackle in the 14th min.Just after this Sheriden had a header that just cleared the bar from a corner which caused Windsor problems all afternoon, but again the ref decided to clamp down again and booked Harding in the 24th min.the home team took the lead in the 24th min.when the Windsor keeper could only parry a shot from Leacock and Green was the quickest to react and placed the ball over the keeper to put the home side 1-0 up and it could have been 2-0 had the linesmen gave offside against Green when he finished well.Chess.seemed to be well on top and Daniels in the home goal had very little to do but when he was called on he done well in dealing with the crosses that came in from the windsor widemen and that was only if they did get past our fullbacks, and when they did they found the ever improving Powell and the rock Leacock covering well.

At the start of the second half we carried on where we had left off defending well and hitting Windsor on the breack but Windsor turned the tables when from a sharp breackaway they scored with a low drive from outside the box and this seemed to spur them on and the game became more open infact Windsor should have taken the lead and would have had it not been for a great double save by Haywood on the goal line.Windsor now started to bring on fresh legs and changed there shape but still Chess.held on and we made our first sub.in the61st min. with Heath replacing the tried looking Hughes,we were now causing Windsor problems with Dilloway acting as an extra winger on the left and Massing now getting the better of there left back but again Windsor broke and with an open goal blaring the away forward hit the bar.

Green who had a good game with Burns up top was now replaced in the 83rd min by White but now both teams were going for the win and in the 87th min. Massing was replaced by Welch,it was now injury time and from defense Chess.broke and as the ball was fired in to the six yard box Burns set the ball up for White to pass the ball into the bottom corner giving the points to Chess. This was a great team performance but Dilloway,Sheriden and Leacock deserve a special mention.
