Only thing missing from the Lane this last week was Senior Football.

As I said above the only thing missing from the Lane last week was a senior game of Football but over the last few weeks nearly all the teams in the two senior leagues have really struggled infact quite a few Ryman league games have been called off.
Our pitch cant really be a problem as we have played more first team games then most of the sides in the League and the Res. have not been given a league game for nearly a month.

Not many people know this but we have to have turnstiles installed at the ground by Easter Weekend to stay in the Combine Counties League. How many clubs in our League can say that there Chairmen Graham Ellis spent all day last Wednesday with Ray Hall and supporter Alan Thorton building the entrance cabins so that as soon as we have turnstiles they can be installed.

With no game again for the first team and res. on the Saturday Andy Ellis called the Res.in to help him and as normal the turn out was really poor but that never put him off he still got stuck in with Chris Barker and Adam Marie stripping the old turnstiles out of the machinery they were built in and concreted them in place. That shows commitment, its a pity more players from both teams dont feel the same way about the Club.

The Bonus Ball has now been taken over by Les Smithers from an overworked Andy Ellis and he will be chasing up people who still owe payments from last year,so if you think you still do owe please contact Les Smithers.
We as a Club needs the income we generate from the Bonus Ball so please keep up to date with your bonus ball payments.
With the way the weather is going we have no income from the Clubhouse bar.So we need all the help we can get.

Well lets hope this week starts better for both the Senior sides and we do get a couple of games played this week home or away.

We will be back next week.
