Both sets of Defences played well on the night and overall a draw was not a bad result for both us and them.
With Mark Daniels making a return in goal and impressive debut by Basri Morrally all the signs looked good for us but we missed Dan Harding playing up front(sent off the week before for having to much to say to the ref).
The game itself was very open and in the first half chances were few and far between with both teams not making the best of what few chances there was and when it looked like an opening was there both sets of defenders shut things down.
Half-Time. Chessington & Hook Utd.0-0 Croydon.
The second half carried on in the same vein as the first with both teams working hard to create chances but as in the first half both sets of defenders came out on top.
Some strange refereeing decisions made the game far from exciting to watch, before the game the ref informed both sides that he would try to play the advantage rule but the one time he did he waited till Theo Woodhouse was clean through just outside Croydons 18 yard box before he gave us a freekick back well inside our half, and it was not long before it was clear to all watching that he did not know how to play the advantage rule.
The one good thing about the ref was that he was concistant getting things wrong for both sides.
